The Seafarer Depth Echo Sounder Display Unit
is a device that measures water depth below the ship.
The Seafarer echo sounder operates by measuring
the time interval between transmission and reception
of ultra-sonic pulses from the sea bed via a piezo
that operates by measuring the time interval between
transmission and reception of ultra-sonic pulses.
