In 1956, Honda Electronics developed and launched
the world's first transistorized portable echo sounder
and bynow commercialised the Hondex elctonic marine brand.
Hondex sounders (HE Series) and plotter/sounders (HDX Series)
help fishermen, sailboats and yachties all around the world.
All Hondex sounders operate on wide input (11-35v) DC voltage
and (except for sonar) output depth data on a NMEA0183 port
for integration with other marine electronics.
The Hondex PS-7 Portable Depth Sounder is an unique
portable sounder containing a dry cell and a transducer
inside. It is used for marine diving, fishing on a small boat.
